Welcome to my CCD Imaging Website!

My garden-observatory is located in the southern suburbia of Erkelenz, Germany, with some 252.300 people (401 persons/km²). The visual limiting magnitude is usually between 4.5-5, in rare good nights up to 5.5. The seeing (FWHM) is quite acceptable around/better than 2 arcseconds without adaptive optics. The magnificent dynamic range of my 16bit cooled Starlight Xpress CCD camera and  new image processing technology have allowed me to shoot these deep sky images. I would like to present a selection of my best astronomical images.
